American LegalNet Announces Release of eDockets 2.0
New version brings increased accuracy and time savings to both attorneys and docketing managers through automated reminders and calendar entries
Los Angeles (September 30, 2009) — American LegalNet, the premier provider of ‘Desktop to Courthouse’ workflow technologies that reduce risk and minimize cost, today announced the launch of eDockets 2.0 to bring increased accuracy and time savings to attorneys and docketing managers.
eDockets 2.0 now allows for event end dates and time. For example, a trial lasting four days can be accurately entered into the docket and attorney’s calendar quickly; a deposition lasting three hours can be properly set to appear as a three-hour entry in the attorney’s calendar. eDockets 2.0 also allows attorneys to create profiles on their preferences, eliminating the need for the docketing manager to manually enter each reminder. After an attorney profile is created, all reminders will be sent automatically.
In addition, eDockets 2.0 includes:
- Drag and Drop capabilities and the ability to lock out users by group (If an attorney changes the date in their calendar, the docket will be automatically updated as well)
- Pop up notification on docket side when event is changed by end user
- A Summary of Adjournments, to easily note how often a docket has been rescheduled
- Judges and Parties List
- Printable Service List
- Option to Add Event when Docket is created
- Court Rules—Prompt when Service Offset is to be added
- Custom Courts and Pleadings
- Ethical Wall (ability to block certain users from viewing specific cases)
“We are pleased to bring a new version of eDockets to our customer base and the market at large,” states Erez Bustan, CEO of American LegalNet. “Our goal is to provide state-of-the-art solutions that make the workflow within a firm easier. That is exactly what this new version does for attorneys and docketing managers alike.”
American LegalNet’s two other products are eFilingPortal and Forms WorkFlow. eFiling Portal standardizes the process of electronic filing with courts and agencies. Forms WorkFlow provides access to the most comprehensive library of federal, state and agency forms. eDockets works with both Forms WorkFlow and eFilingPortal to track, manage and distribute reminders related to forms and electronic filing based on the calendar and appropriate court rules.
